If you intend to apply for the University of South Carolina's Betsy Blackmon Dance Program, your application process will begin through the university's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and include an audition for admission into the Dance Program.

 

Apply for Undergraduate Admission

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions manages online applications to the university and provides the most comprehensive information on the application process. The admissions office also provides the latest information on application deadlines and university scholarships for S.C. residents and nonresidents. So whether you are applying as a freshman, are looking to transfer to South Carolina or are planning to come to Columbia from another UofSC campus, you can check the requirements based on your current status and apply now.

Program Audition 

Auditions are required for acceptance into the dance program for both Performance & Choreography and Dance Education. Auditions for our dance program are currently accepted by video submission only.  Auditions are not required for prospective dance minor students.

Fall 2024 Application Deadlines:

Application deadlines are November 1, 2023 and February 15, 2024 for acceptance into the Dance Program for Fall of 2024.

Scholarships

Dance scholarships are available for those students who meet the six criteria for scholarship qualification. Students are expected to maintain a 2.5 grade point average to retain their awards.
