Professor Sherine Obare, alumni of Professor Catherine Murphy's group, was appointed Interim Vice President for Research at Western Michigan University. She received her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2002. She is a tenured full professor of chemistry and has been a part of the WMU faculty since 2004.
