As program coordinator for the Community Based Literacy Initiative, Pamela Hoppock directs program development, collects and manages project data, and plans and carries out events to support the project. She loves helping communities unite to improve literacy for all its members and seeing the positive effects reading has on children and families.
Prior to joining USC, Hoppock worked for the South Carolina State Library as a Library Consultant and Learning Experiences Coordinator. She has worked in libraries for 15 years, including school, public, state and special libraries. She founded the Bookshelf Project, a volunteer run literacy initiative which put 12,000 books and magazines into homes and schools from 2009 to 2014.
