Jeffery Penka brings together Information Science, Product Development, and Project Management principles with industry frameworks and practices for students through practical experiences, team activities, and critique-based discussion. He teaches Intro to Information Science, Intro to Information Literacy and Technology, and Knowledge Management for Library and Information Professionals.
With over 20 years of experience in Information Science, Entrepreneurship, and Product Development, Penka's passion centers on growing leaders that quickly and iteratively move ideas to action. His work focuses on:
- connecting learners and their coursework with "live" environments and industry opportunities
- offering opportunities to engage with practitioners, moving theory to practice
- encouraging student growth of professional networks, critical thinking, and portfolio of experiences.
