Background

Dr. Jeff Ranta's professional career started as a Naval officer, moved to agency work and then morphed into academia.  However, his goals and strengths have always involved training and educating others using communications skills and best practices to help explain the complex in ways everyone can understand.

A 2014 Plank Center Educator Fellow, Dr. Ranta believes that the ever-evolving public relations field is one of the most interesting career opportunities available to those who can write, create and express themselves for the benefit of others.  The ability to inform, educate and persuade has never been more valuable or important than right now.
