Posted May 6, 2015

School of Library and Information Science student Jonathan Boston has been awarded the Information Science Dewey Decimal Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year.

“I have learned many useful skills and concepts so far in the Information Science program,” Boston said.  “I plan to use the knowledge I have gained here to provide companies with information about their websites and how to improve them to maximize their brand, marketability and profits by using various techniques.”

Boston is “excited” to be the scholarship recipient, and is looking forward to “graduating and representing this program” to the best of his abilities, as well as continuing to learn everyday in his career.

Boston is a rising senior from Louisville, Ky. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball and video games.

The Information Science Dewey Decimal scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students majoring in Information Science who have demonstrated academic excellence and have a justifiable financial need as determined by the School of Library and Information Science’s Undergraduate Committee.
