Accreditation & Impact

Our accreditation assures that your time at the College of Education is a wise investment in your career, community and future.

The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) is the primary accrediting organization of the professional educator, specialist and administrator preparation program at the College of Education.

In April 2011, we were awarded continuing NCATE accreditation with no areas of improvement cited, and were recognized for meeting the Target Level for NCATE Standard Three: Field Experiences and Clinical Practices. We are proud to have received national recognition as a leader in developing and sustaining school-university partnerships.

NCATE accreditation ensures our performance-based programs foster highly-skilled education professionals who work to improve the education of all P-12 students. Because of this, you can be assured your studies at the College of Education are of the highest standard — backed by expert faculty and in-depth clinical experiences.
