With us, you will be ready for the world — and ready to change the world.
At the College of Education, we're charting new territory, advancing the very frontiers of knowledge and seizing opportunities to excite, motivate and inspire diverse learners to achieve.
We do more than provide comprehensive, world-class preparation for teachers, counselors, education leaders, researchers, athletic trainers and policymakers. And we do more than prepare people for professions and careers.
When you study with us, you begin a lifelong journey of transforming lives and communities. You'll join a caring community focused on educational issues and community development. With us, you will be ready for the world — and ready to change the world.
At the College of Education, we go beyond what is required in our degree programs. Our undergraduate students frequently begin clinical experiences as soon as their first semester — solidifying the connection between theory, practice and research early in their academic pursuits. We offer our graduate students mentoring relationships with our world-class faculty and flexible program options including online, accelerated formats.
We go beyond a single vision for research. The work of our faculty and students is interdisciplinary and collaborative — enhancing the lives of individuals, organizations and communities, solving problems and overcoming barriers to learning. We do more than simply publish our work. We sponsor institutes, conferences and symposiums for professional development to share our findings and invite discussion.
We are not isolated or singular in our thinking. We reach out to agencies, educators, schools, families, professional organizations and other institutions to advance teaching, learning, research and service.
Our mission at the College of Education is to positively impact communities by promoting educational excellence, equity and opportunity at all levels. Our diverse, dynamic, nurturing community of faculty and staff members, students and partners fosters an environment in which this is happening.
I welcome you to the College of Education — to come learn with us, and join our community. I hope we can help you achieve your academic, professional and personal dreams.
