My Honors College

Artists in Residence

Our Artists in Residence program has three purposes. We want our students to develop their personal creativity as individuals, and we also want to cultivate a creative community within the Honors College. Our third purpose is to increase our engagement with the larger Columbia arts community. We have talented students, and they benefit by mentoring from the talented professionals in the area.

Cultivate your creativity

The Artists in Residence program is open to students in every discipline. Each student artist receives up to $750 from the Honors College to help with expenses their projects require. To be selected, applicants prepare a budget proposal and are interviewed by a committee incuding an Honors College associate dean, the current Honors College student curator, and an expert from the art community. Artists for the 2017-2018 cycle have been selected. The committee will review applications for the 2018-2019 cycle in May, 2018.
