Background
Ashley Richardson serves as internship director and clinical instructor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Richardson joined the staff at the University of South Carolina in July 2015 as the administrative coordinator for the Department of Retailing where she was responsible for administering the academic and financial operations for the department and also served as an instructor for University 101 Programs.
Prior to joining the Department of Retailing, Richardson worked for three years as a financial aid counselor at Columbia College. Before her appointment at Columbia College, she lived in Baltimore, Md., for five years where she gained experience working in admissions. She also has experience working in the private sector in marketing and sales roles.
A South Carolina native, Richardson and her husband, Smith, are both proud alumni of the University of South Carolina. They enjoy cheering on the Gamecocks every chance they get. They also enjoy traveling, and their favorite weekend destination is the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C.
