Background
DeAnna Risher serves as assistant to the associate deans and graduate program liaison in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. Risher brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education to the college that includes teaching and administrative positions at Southern Wesleyan University and Columbia College. As a military retiree, she has 22 years of military service specializing in training, administration and human resources.
Risher is passionate about giving back to the community and serves as a VITA tax preparer with the Cooperative Ministry. She also volunteers with organizations that provide academic, personal and professional development opportunities for middle and high school boys.
