Discover first-hand the wine, culinary, fashion, and retail hubs of South America! This trip to Chile (Santiago and Valparaiso) and Buenos Aires, Argentina, will give you an insider’s view to some of the world’s best wineries, food markets, innovative fashion design houses, and retail venues. Visit the wineries of Chile, home to some of the finest vineyards in South America, and taste Carmeniere, a wine/varietal unique to only this region of the world.

  • First half ($1275) due December 1, 2017

  • Hotel: Accommodations based on multiple occupancy

HRTM 384 — Cultural and Heritage Tourism

Tour Dates: May 15 - June 1, 2018

Learn how the culture, heritage and lifestyle of a country or region plays an important role in its tourism. Cultural and heritage tourism includes history, art, architecture, cuisines, social dynamics, recreation and other attractions that shape a country's way of life. Students in this global classroom have the opportunity to visit, experience and understand three different countries and the cultures, heritage and international businesses that make them distinct tourist destinations. 

Tour Costs Include*:

  • Hotel (double occupancy)
  • Transportation in and between destinations
  • Breakfast each day
  • Entrance to local attractions

*In addition to the tour fee, you must register for HRTM 384 for the Maymester 2018 semester. Tuition and fees are not covered by the tour cost.

RETL 592M — Italian Fashion: From Runway to Hallway

This trip to Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan) is a unique opportunity to observe and experience key international retailing and designer venues, as well as important museums, galleries, artistic venues, exhibitions, markets, and related businesses. Join us on this exciting journey “from runway to hallway”, and see how apparel fashion influences home fashion and vice-versa! 

Tour Costs Include*:

  • Airfare
  • Ground transportation in Italy
  • Hotel Accommodations: 2 students per room
  • Meals: daily breakfast, group welcome dinner in Rome, group farewell dinner in Milan

SPTE 490—Global USC in the Galapagos: Sustainability, Eco-Tourism & the Diving Industry

This program provides students a unique opportunity to gain USC course credits while learning about sustainability and culture in the Galápagos. Participants are accompanied by a USC Study Abroad Office staff member, and courses are instructed by USC faculty. During this program, students study at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) Galápagos campus while living in a homestay on San Cristóbal Island. USFQ is the only university in the world with a campus on the Galápagos Islands. 

Learn to Dive with Us!
This course requires students to have Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving Certification through PEDU (USC Physical Education Activity Program). For more information, contact Richard Southall,
