Duties of Intern:
Public Relations & Marketing Intern Events & PR Internship with hip, local marketing partnership, focused on progressive arts, sustainability, social justice & education nonprofits Support Flock and Rally in project-managing and executing successful fundraising events, action campaigns and marketing initiatives for progressive Midlands organizations like NAMI, The Nickelodeon Theatre, Slow Food Columbia, 701 Center for Contemporary Art, The Columbia Museum of Art, SVEF, Conservation Voters of SC, the SC Small Business Chamber of Commerce, BuySC, and more. Duties Include: √ Draft and send press releases to key media contacts √ Monitor Google Alerts as they relate to our clients √ Contact television stations to get PSA video and audio posted √ Social media promotions w/Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Picasa, etc. √ Constant Contact email blasts √ Online calendar data entry √ Site visits to target demographics √ Blog outreach √ Maintain event photo galleries for clients’ web outlets √ Research potential sponsorship/PR partnerships

Skills Required for Internship:
Requirements: √ Solid computer and new media skills √ Experience with Constant Contact desirable √ Advanced skills using email, text, Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, and online digital photo sites like Picasa & Flickr √ Ability to meet deadlines and follow directions while working in a relaxed setting √ Solid grammar, spelling, syntax and interpersonal communications skills, including phone, email and in-person √ High school diploma or GED, some college preferred √ Creativity and event planning experience preferred √ An interest in sustainability and green events desirable Contact: Debi Schadel, Partner, or 803-348-8861
