Background
Dr. Sims joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology August 2008. She completed her medical education at the Medical University of South Carolina and her residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, in 2008. Dr. Sims' areas of interest include ultrasound, prenatal education, breastfeeding and resident education. In addition to a comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic practice at University Specialty Clinics, Dr. Sims serves as an attending physician in the labor and delivery and surgery units at Prisma Health Richland. She previously served as OBGYN Medical Student Clerkship Director and was named OBGYN Residency Program Director in 2014. Dr. Sims was selected to participate in the national AGPO Leaders and Scholars Program and completed this program in 2014.
