A student who participates in this unique opportunity will graduate with an MIB degree from the Moore School and with a Mannheim Master in Management from the University of Mannheim.

Mannheim Double Degree Program

Through partnerships with top-ranked universities around the world, the MIB Double Degree program consists of earning a second master’s degree through an immersive, international, academic experience. The MIB double degree is a compelling combination of academic rigor, cultural immersion and career exploration and development.  Students who undertake this challenge successfully gain a competitive advantage for launching their international careers by earning international credentials and gaining experiences that will impact their careers for a lifetime.

The Mannheim Double Degree Program provides students with the opportunity to study at one of the top universities in Germany upon completion of the MIB curriculum at the Darla Moore School of Business. Recognized as one of the leading universities in Germany (and the world), Mannheim affords students the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of specific functional areas of business through their course offering and thesis requirement encompassing areas such as accounting & taxation; banking, finance and insurance; management; marketing; information systems; and operations management.

Program Requirements

The Moore School offers this double degree opportunity for up to five MIB applicants each year.  Students need an undergraduate degree in business to qualify and particular preference is given to those with a strong economics or quantitative background.

Candidates for the double degree will be evaluated based on the strength of their application and supporting documents, GMAT scores and indications they are culturally, academically and personally motivated to participate in the program. German proficiency is not a requirement, as courses taught at Mannheim can be taken in English. For those who wish to gain a preliminary foundation in German, language courses are offered prior to the start of Mannheim MMM classes and throughout the semester.
