All recruiting activities are managed through our online recruiting system, Handshake. Interviewing provides a traditional method for employers to visit campus personally to meet pre-selected candidates using the following steps and ideal timeline:
- Four weeks prior to interview dates, students view your job description(s) on Handshake.
- Three weeks prior, resumes of students who have applied for your position(s) are sent to you via email.
- Two weeks prior, you select candidates you wish to interview and students sign up for time slots.
- Telephone and video conference (virtual) interviews are available.
The Darla Moore School of Business's Office of Career Management hosts two annual Business Expo's each spring and fall in Columbia. The event is open to organizations who have full-time or internship opportunities available for business students.
More than 1,000 graduate and undergraduate students attended our Fall 2016 Business Expo, and more than 100 employers participated.
This networking event provides employers the opportunity to meet students from the nationally ranked International MBA program, master's level students and highly qualified undergraduate students, including those enrolled in the nationally ranked undergraduate international business program.
Information Sessions and Lobby Displays
This type of information session or reception is usually scheduled four to five weeks prior to on-campus interviews. The purpose is to introduce your available positions to targeted students determining both the candidates' qualifications and cultural fit. This is especially important in creating campus awareness if you have not previously recruited at the Moore School.
A lobby display table is a great way for companies to promote their organizations to Moore School students. This allows you to interact with our student population while promoting your full-time positions, internship opportunities or both.
We know it's not always feasible to schedule a visit to campus, so we invite you to post a job description, request a resume collection or complete a resume search to identify talented candidates for your positions. Through one-on-one conversations, we can answer questions regarding program content to assist you in your search.
