Honor Chorus and Choral Clinics

The USC Choral Department offers opportunities to sing and to learn each fall and spring semester.

Middle School and High School Honor Choruses will not be held during the 2017-2018 year. This year, check out the Gamecock Gentlemen's Guide to Singing for high school men and Girl Power: USC Women's Choral Clinic for high school women.

2018–2019 Middle School Honor Chorus

Teacher-recommended students spend a day in rehearsals with clinicians from USC and around the nation, then present a concert in the afternoon. Special features include performances by the Men's and Women's Choruses from USC, and the chance to sing side-by-side with members of these ensembles. Middle school students are divided into TTB and Treble Choirs for the day, allowing for focus on the distinctive aspects of the changing voice. Fee includes pizza lunch.

2018–2019 High School Honor Chorus

Teacher-recommended high school students spend a day at the USC School of Music, singing with a nationally known clinician and presenting a concert in the afternoon with orchestra. The day includes vocal coaching with the USC voice faculty and performances by the USC Concert Choir and University Chorus.  Fee includes PDF score with the ability to legally duplicate.

Information about dates, clinicians and repertoire is sent at the beginning and middle of the fall semesters for events in the fall and spring, respectively. Honor Choruses for 2018–2019 will be posted at a later date.
