He holds a BM in Composition from the University of South Carolina, where he studied classical guitar with Christopher Berg, composition with John Fitz Rogers, and computer music with Reginald Bain and also participated in master classes with Paul Lansky, Jacob ter Veldhuis, and Martin Bresnick. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Composition, studying with Jesse Jones.
