Bob Evans has been hailed by the Carnegie Hall Twitter account as someone who 'really know[s] [his] composers.' Friends and strangers have described him as engaging, approachable, empathetic, loyal, curious, thoughtful, and fun.
As Development Assistant for the University of South Carolina School of Music, he’s dedicated his life to forging meaningful connections with people and ensuring that music education is both well-funded and well-respected in American society. Having made his home in Columbia, SC, he's excited to see what he can do to make it an even better place to live and work.
When he's not trying to be everything to everyone, you can find him playing bassoon and contrabassoon for bands, orchestras, and choral societies across the Southeast. He has passions for mostly-useless trivia, languages and linguistics, and cooking and eating local food. On game days, you can always find him cheering for the Gamecocks.
