College of Pharmacy

Degree Requirements

Merging pharmacy and public health education provides you with deep knowledge about the relationships between pharmacotherapy, health promotion, disease prevention and medication safety.

Students interested in the Pharm.D./MPH program must apply for admission to the University of South Carolina Graduate School. In addition to completing the application, you’ll be required to take the PCAT or GRE as part of the admissions process.

Although the master's in public health program has traditionally required a bachelor’s degree, the Arnold School has agreed to accept Pharm.D. students who have completed the pre-pharmacy curriculum and the first professional year of the Pharm.D. program. You will be eligible to begin the MPH program as early as the fall semester of your second professional year of the Pharm.D. program. While portions of the MPH curriculum can be completed in concert with the Pharm.D. curriculum, you will complete the remaining MPH curriculum after graduation from the Pharm.D. program.
