STATIONEry SYSTEM

Stationery

All university academic and administrative units must conform to official university stationery guidelines. Letterhead, envelopes and business cards are the first contact many people have with the University of South Carolina. They are perhaps the primary means of presenting the university's graphic identity clearly and consistently.

In September 2011, new guidelines for university stationery were implemented to incorporate a revised academic logo and allow greater flexibility and customization while still ensuring design consistency. All new orders for stationery items will be filled using these designs and guidelines. Because of tight budgets, we do not recommend throwing away or recycling existing supplies of stationery. Please use what you have until your quantities are depleted and reorder at the appropriate time.

Orders for stationery items should be placed with University Printing Services on the Columbia campus (803-777-5146) to maintain consistency in design and color. Stationery should not be printed through outside vendors without prior approval from University Creative Services.

In no case should additional logos, symbols or art be added to the University's standard stationery design. Special-use stationery for cooperative programs and/or special projects may be created with the approval of University Creative Services.

Exceptions to these standards must be approved by University Creative Services at 803-777-8161 or creative@sc.edu.
