Role at the Center:
Penny Smoak provides administrative support to the ever-growing, multi-faceted University 101 Program/National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition and its Directors. Her varied administrative duties and responsibilities include daily contact with students, faculty, university officials, and individuals from across the U.S. and the world; purchasing supplies and equipment; scheduling of meetings; scheduling a variety of group presentations for the University 101 classes, and is also responsible for the logistical details for the University 101 Teaching Experience Workshops.
