UofSC staff, students win creative awards

The University of South Carolina Division of Communications, along with staff and students around campus, were recognized for their creative endeavors by the American Advertising Federation.

Eight awards were presented to students, including those in Student Media, the Honors College, School of Music and Athletics. Local winners advance to regional competitions and those winners advance to the national level. The university was recognized by the Midlands chapter and will move onto the regional competition.

The university also won five awards from the Counsel for Advancement and Support of Education in the Southeastern district. The university competed against schools from across the region, including Auburn University and the University of Central Florida. Specifically, the university was recognized for its recruitment series – a compilation of incoming freshman, Honors College and financial aid packets and information.
