Daily Gamecock qualifies as finalist for seven national awards

The Daily Gamecock has been named a finalist in six categories of the College Media Association 2014 Pinnacle Awards. These categories are Best News Front Page, Best Sports Game Story, Best General News Story, Best General News Photo, Best Special Section and Newspaper of the Year.
The Associated Collegiate Press has nominated Kristmar Muldrowe for her work with The Daily Gamecock for Designer of the Year.
CMA’s Pinnacle Awards honors the best college media organizations as well as individual work. Each category has been narrowed down to three finalists. Winners will be announced at the ACP/CMA National Media Convention on Oct. 31 - Nov.1.
