Daily Gamecock earns second place for Daily Newspaper of the Year

University of South Carolina's student-run newspaper, The Daily Gamecock, was awarded second place for Daily Newspaper of the Year by the College Media Association along with five other awards.
The Daily Gamecock was awarded second place for Best General News Photo, Best General News Story and Best Special Section and earned third place honors for Best Newspaper Front Page and Best Sports Game Story.
Kristmar Muldrow, a senior graphic design major from Charleston, received an honorable mention from the Associated College Press (ACP) for her work with The Daily Gamecock in the Designer of the Year category.
