Provost group to hold tech trainings

This spring the Provost's Advisory Committee on Women's Issues (PACWI) and the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) will host several technology workshops. Each session is open to all UofSC faculty, staff and students. Workshops are limited to 25 participants and registration is free. For more information, contact Aisha Haynes.
Word and PowerPoint Accessibility

Microsoft Word documents and PowerPoint presentations are often necessities for classes and daily work tasks. These files should be accessible for all of your students and colleagues. Creating accessible Word and PowerPoint files make it possible for individuals with disabilities to access all information that the document or presentation provides. Using Portfolios in Blackboard for Student Learning and Assessment

Did you know that instructors can create portfolio assignments in Blackboard? Did you know that students can create portfolios in Blackboard unattached to a particular course? Portfolios are an invaluable tool for students to reflect on their own learning and/or for instructors to assess student learning. Students can create portfolios in Blackboard to collect and organize artifacts that represent work completed overtime. Instructors can request that portfolios be submitted by students for course assignments. Come see a demonstration of the new portfolio features in Blackboard. Becoming an Excel Ninja: Advanced Excel Tools
