Awards to recognize contributions to freshmen

The Outstanding Advocate for First-Year Students Award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the academic and personal lives of first-year students. The award is made possible through donations to the University 101 Scholarship Family Fund account.

All University of South Carolina faculty, staff and students are eligible for this award and self-nominations are welcome.

The award recipient will be recognized at the 2015 First-Year Reading Experience and will receive a $1,000 award and a plaque. Finalists receive a $250 award and a plaque.

The nomination deadline is Monday, March 23.
