Do you know a University of South Carolina student, faculty or staff member who has made a difference in someone's life? Nominate your on-campus hero for the sixth annual Stand Up Carolina Hero Awards

The Stand Up Carolina Hero Awards recognize accountable bystanders who impact their community through actions and deeds, both large and small. Whether it's giving someone a ride, calling for help, intervening in an unsafe situation or referring someone to much-needed resources, heroes stand up to help others. The deadline for nominations is March 6

The Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention & Prevention Office is partnering with the Office of Student Conduct for the ceremony, which will take place during Creed Week. This year's Stand Up Carolina Hero Awards ceremony will be Wednesday, March 25 from 9-11 a.m. in the Russell House Ballroom.

As a part of the recognition of all of the heroes, each will receive a framed copy of the Carolinian Creed during the ceremony. Each hero has been a wonderful example of what it means to be a champion of the Carolinian Creed and truly has lived out our university’s values of integrity, acceptance, respect, leadership and compassion.
