As the semester draws to a close, seniors have only six more weeks to check the 100 things all Gamecocks should do before they graduate off the USC Bucket List. Too big of a feat? Here are the six things to do before the end of the semester:

1. See a movie at the Nickelodeon theater

The Nickelodeon features independent films, special curated series and one-off screenings of films that are relevant in the community. The Nick also regularly provides opportunities for conversation before and after screenings, pulling together experts and community members as speakers and respondents. More than just a movie theater, the Nickelodeon is also the presenter of the annual Indie Grits Film Festival – an annual showcase of the best in Southern DIY film and culture. The festival is on Thursday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m.

2. Buy organic at the Healthy Carolina Farmers Market.

The Healthy Carolina Farmers Market offers students, faculty, staff and members of the community access to fresh, locally-grown produce and sustainable products. There are a variety of vendors of produce and non-commercial food items that sell locally-grown or sustainable products. The Healthy Carolina Farmers Market is every Tuesday on Greene Street from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Buy fresh produce from the farmers market and make yourself a homemade salad or stirfry for lunch using what you've purchased.

3. Tube down the Congaree River.

Rally a group of friends, rent a tube from Outdoor Recreation for $5, pack a healthy picnic and head to the river to enjoy a lazy Saturday afternoon.

4. Gorge on chicken fingers every Wednesday for a month.

An age-old tradition fraught with carb-loading and memories. Relive your freshman 15 one breaded finger at a time.

5. Deactivate your Facebook for a week, and use your extra time to have an adventure (and plan a weekend excursion to Charleston and check two items off your list).

Facebook can be a deterrent from living in the moment. Deactivate your account for a week and plan something exciting, like a weekend trip to Charleston, or day trips within two hours of Columbia.

6. Say “thank you” to a university employee.

From the moment you stepped on campus, you've had hundreds of people who work tirelessly to make your college experience a memorable one. Thank one of those employees for all their hard-work, dedication and time spent ensuring the University of South Carolina serves students as best it can.
