In preparation for the National Day of Voter Registration on Sept. 22, a large collective of engaged students at the University of South Carolina have joined forces to get more students involved in the electoral process.

Organizations including Feminist Collective, Students Invested In Change, Individuals Respecting Identities and Sexualities, College Libertarians, College Democrats, Association of African American Students, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Bedsider, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha and Gamecocks for Peace have partnered in this nationwide effort to help register as many students as possible.

Volunteers will be on Greene Street 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 to assist students in the registration process, which takes about two minutes. Staff members from the Richland County Elections Commission also will be on hand to answer any questions.

After the event, registration forms will be taken directly to the Elections & Voter Registration Office.

If you represent a UofSC-affiliated student organization or office that would like to be a part of the National Day of Voter Registration, please contact Clarie Randall.
