About the University of South Carolina Alumni Center

Since its establishment more than 170 years ago, My Carolina Alumni Association has never played a more critical role in the life of the University of South Carolina than it does today. The university’s Alumni Center, completed in summer 2015, features 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space that supports learning outside the classroom and serves as a place to celebrate life’s milestones and a home for alumni engagement. Created by alumni for alumni, the $26-million center is privately funded. The Alumni Center’s exterior connects campus to the Vista through the red brick, columns, lanterns and wrought iron that are reminiscent of the historic Horseshoe. Throughout the building is innovative technology that tells the university’s story of academic and research excellence, superior student experience and successful alumni whose contributions are improving communities locally and globally.
