ABOUT THE BOOK

As the field of international business develops into a distinct and increasingly important field of study, International Business: An Emerging Vision establishes the parameters of the discipline by defining its domain. The volume contains thirty-one specially commissioned contributions by leading scholars in international business and related disciplines. These essays, along with synthesizing introductory and concluding chapters by the editors Brian Toyne and Douglas Nigh, explore the conceptual domain of international business inquiry, the constructs that hold promise for integrating the field, and the future directions that appear particularly fruitful for theory building and theory testing.

Contributors draw on such varied disciplines as economics, political science, organizational theory, strategic management, finance, marketing, organizational behavior, general management, and ethics to present a truly integrated volume.
