| The USC Office of Fellowships and Scholar Programs will sponsor a series of scholarship workshops for undegraduate and graduate students beginning Aug. 25. The workshops will help students understand and maneuver through the process of applying for competitive scholarships and fellowships such as Fulbright, Goldwater, Rhodes, and National Science Foundation (NSF).
The Office of Fellowships and Scholar Programs was established in 1994 to assist academically talented students in their pursuit of nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships. Since 1994, University students have won 207 awards and more than $5 million for advanced academic study. Approximately 60 faculty and staff serve on scholarship committees and generally assist students in the application and interview process. Although located in Harper College, the office is open to any qualified USC student.
Students are encouraged to attend the workshop for the scholarship or scholarships that interest them most. Attending a workshop is the first step in applying for a national award.
