| Theatre South Carolina will perform Naomi Iizuka's contemporary play Polaroid Stories Nov. 1423 at Longstreet Theater. A public discussion regarding the play will be held after the Nov. 19 production.
Polaroid Stories concerns the life of runaway and so-called "throwaway" teenagers who live homeless on the streets of Americas cities. Participating in the public panel discussion will be Barry Markovsky, chair of USC's sociology department; Laura Olszewski, a social worker with Growing Home, a Columbia agency aiding foster children; and Craig Davis, director of Polaroid Stories and a third-year MFA candidate in directing in the Department of Theatre and Dance. USC student Rindy Tietjen also will join the panel, discussing her own experiences as a homeless teen-ager.
The discussion is free and open to the public. Tickets for the Nov. 19 performance and other performances of Polaroid Stories are available at the Longstreet Theater box office or by calling 7-2551.
