The John C. West Forum on Politics and Policy at USC will sponsor a discussion on South Carolinas natural resource usage and demographics at 7 p.m., Nov. 19 in Room 151 of Gambrell Hall.
The event will feature South Carolinas two top government authorities on natural resource usage and demographics, Freddy Vang, director of the Land, Water, and Conservation Division of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, and Bobby Bowers, director of the S.C. State Budget and Control Boards Office of Research and Statistical Services.
The West Forums objectives are to promote the civic values of broadly informed democratic political involvement and to advance public understanding of political processes. The event is intended to inform and stimulate the thinking of the citizens of the state about how changing South Carolina demographic patterns are affecting the use of water and other natural resources.
After presentations from the panelists there will be an extended question and answer session. For information, contact Blease Graham, 7-7346, or WestForum@sc.edu.
