The 17th International Conference on The First Year Experience will be held June 1417 in Maui, Hawaii.
Featured speakers will be Graham Henderson, vice chancellor of the University of Teesside in the United Kingdom, and Laura Rendòn, the Veffie Milstead Jones Endowed Chair at California State University-Long Beach.
Concurrent, roundtable discussion, institutional initiative, and poster session proposals are invited on topics addressing the first year of college. Any quality proposal that sufficiently and seriously addresses student transitions in the first year of college will be welcomed for review. The deadline for proposals is Feb. 27.

USCs National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition is sponsoring the conference. The co-sponsors are the Hawaii State Postsecondary Education Commission, University of Teesside, and Tamagawa University in Japan.
