Kuniharu Kubodera, physics, will be honored in Japan April 18–20.

Kubodera has been a faculty member in the USC Department of Physics and Astronomy since 1989, and on the occasion of his 60th birthday, many world experts on nuclear and hadronic physics will gather at the KEK Workshop on Nuclear Chiral Dynamics to honor him. This international conference is held at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) in Tsukuba, Japan. Nuclear chiral dynamics is one of several fields in which Kuniharu’s contributions are particularly famous.
