An exhibition of selected works from the Southern Graphics Council is on display at USCs McKissick Museum through July 25. The exhibition features 39 prints by 35 artists from the United States and Canada.
Printmaking, with origins in ancient China, is the process of making an impression on paper. The art form originated in China in the ninth century and gained prominence in Europe by the late 15th century. Today, printmaking has evolved into a fine-art medium and a commercial format and is done with a variety of materials and processes, including lithography, silkscreen, and relief.
