Free summer concerts hit high notes

The Palmetto Concert Band will hold a concert from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 20 on the Horseshoe. Led by co-conductors Jim Copenhaver and Bill Moody, the free performance will include “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “American Folk Song Suite,” “Stars and Stripes Forever,” and highlights from Porgy and Bess.

The Summer I Chorus will hold its final performances at 4 p.m. June 27 and 7:30 p.m. June 29 in the School of Music Recital Hall. Led by Carol J. Krueger and doctoral student Greg Long, the concerts will feature works by Cesar Franck, Mozart, and Charles Viliers Stanford. The Summer I Chorus concerts are free and open to the public.
