Kamari M. Clarke of Yale University will lecture on Local Practices, Global Controversies: Religious Revivalism and the Challenges of Secularism, from 7 to 9 p.m., Jan. 27 in Room 107 of Currell College.
Following the lecture, Clarke will sign copies of his book, Mapping Yoruba Networks: Power and Agency in the Making of Transnational Communities, which is based in part on research in South Carolina. A follow-up discussion with students and faculty will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 28 in Room 101 of Hamilton College with pizza provided.
