DEIS sponsors programs on innovative teaching with technology

The Instructional Development Group in Distance Education and Instructional Services (DEIS) is sponsoring a series of discussions, “Innovation and Collaboration Through Technology: A Brown Bag Series,” this semester to highlight innovative teaching with technology.

Participants should bring a lunch; drinks and cookies will be provided as part of the informal discussion. The series is open to all faculty, staff, and graduate students.

The schedule includes:

  • "Utilizing Breeze Software to Enhance Online Learning," 12:30–1:30 p.m. March 17, Computer Services Auditorium, Room 309. Tena Crews, USC College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management, will be the speaker.
  • "A Video is Worth a Hundred Slides, Digitized Media in Education," noon to 1 p.m. March 30, Computer Services Auditorium, Room 309. Ron Prier, USC School of Medicine, will be the speaker.
  • "Customizing Flashlight Online Surveys to Implement a Two-Instrument Research Design,"12:30–1:30 p.m. April 14, Computer Services Auditorium, Room 309. Joshua Gold and Teri DeBruhl of USC’s College of Education will be the speakers.

Registration is requested but not required.
