| The Consortium for Latino Immigration Studies at USC will sponsor a series of free public lectures that will examine the growing Latino population in the Southeast.
The schedule includes:
- "Mexican Workers and their Families in the New South," featuring Arthur Murphy, professor of anthropology at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, 3:30 p.m. March 2, Russell House, Room 303.
- "The Political Incorporation of Latinos Contemporary America, featuring Rodolfo de la Garza, vice president of the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute and professor of political science at Columbia University, 3:30 p.m. April 7, Russell House Theater.
- "Global Lives, Local Struggle: Latino Immigrants in the New South, featuring Mary Odem, associate professor of history at Emory University, 3:30 p.m. April 22, Russell House, Room 303.
