USC Aiken named Linda Evans director of major gifts effective July 1.
Evans joins USC Aikens Office of University Advancement, bringing seven years of fund-raising experience to the campus. She most recently served as senior development officer at the Walton Foundation for Independence in Augusta, Ga. She has several years of experience in higher education fund raising, including service as director of major gifts at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., and director of development at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.
I am thrilled to be a member of the USC Aiken staff and am looking forward to meeting the alumni and friends that help to make this institution such an outstanding university, Evans said.
Evans, who holds a BA degree from Wichita State University, has worked in several successful fund-raising campaigns, including a $24 million Builders of Excellence Campaign at Southwestern College.
