Tigerburn, the highlight of Carolina-Clemson week at USC, will be at 5 p.m. Nov. 18.
This year's pep rally and burning of the tiger in effigy will take place on the Blatt Physical Education Center fields at the corner of Sumter and Wheat streets. The gates will open at 4 p.m., and the event is free. The event is a prelude to the football game between USC and Clemson Nov. 19.
The 25-foot tiger this year has been designed and built by a team of mechanical engineering students under the direction of Abdel Bayoumi, a professor of mechanical engineering. For added impact, the students have designed the tiger to have a moveable lower jaw.
