In response to inquiries and interest in the University's facilities on the South Campus, the University of South Carolina Beaufort is offering the community and prospective students tours of the South Campus in Bluffton. The newly formed Student Ambassadors, composed of current students, lead the tours and answer questions about the school, the campus and programs and to refer potential students to the appropriate departments.
Among tour's highlights are the on-campus luxury student apartment complex, Palmetto Village, and the recently dedicated state-of-the art library, with its cutting-edge research technology, cyber cafe and special collections.
"We hope that students considering USCB and members of the community take advantage of the tours," said Chancellor Jane Upshaw. "They are a wonderful opportunity to learn about new resources and to see our fine new facilities."
Tours begin in the Hargray Building lobby Mondays through Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. and 1 pm, on the hour. Anyone wishing to take a tour should meet in the Student Services area of the Hargray Building.
The tours are free of charge, and no registration is required, but reservations are encouraged. For information, call 843-208-8000.
