Kate Shelton has joined the Office of Academic Enrichment and Conferences of Regional Campuses and Continuing Education as associate director for conferences and events. She will supervise the University's national, state, and local conference and event area with Jim Twitty and Cindy Roenfeldt.

Mike Kelly, associate director for noncredit programs, will continue serving summer, academic youth, CEU, and noncredit programs.

Shelton is originally from Pelford, Pa., and received her bachelor's degree in hotel, restaurant, and tourism administration from the University in 1993.

She has worked in the conference field for 13 years, including stints as a conference associate in the Capstone Conference Center of the USC Department of Housing, as coordinator of summer conferences at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, and at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne where she was conference and events manager, assistant director for housing and conference operations, and associate director for professional development programs.
