Four USC School of Medicine faculty members will conduct a panel discussion about women's health issues at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Bostick Auditorium at the Richland County Public Library Main Library in downtown Columbia.
The event will be moderated by Charles Bierbaur, dean of the USC School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
This event is in celebration of the exhibit, "Changing the Face of Medicine: Celebrating America's Women Physicians," which will be on display at the library through February.
The discussion panelists are:
- Janice Bacon, professor and chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Elizabeth Baxley, professor and chair, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine
- Rachel Brown, assistant professor of clinical family and preventive medicine, predoctoral co-director, clerkship director, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine
- Carol McMahon, assistant dean for minority affairs, assistant professor of pathology, Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology.
