Provost Becker announced that five candidates have interviewed on campus for the position of dean of the Moore School of Business at the Faculty Senate meeting March 7. They are:
- Cornelis A. 'Kees' de Kluyver (Ph.D. Case Western Reserve University). de Kluyver is the Masatoshi Ito Professor of Management, Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management, Claremont Graduate University. He was dean at Claremont from 1999 to 2006. Formerly he was the dean at George Mason University (1991-94).
- Venard 'Scott' Koerwer (D.Ed. University of Pennsylvania). Koerwer is an associate dean, professional programs and services for the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. He also is co-director of the Center for International Business Education and Research. He was formerly the senior director of Corporate Management Development and held other executive education director positions at The Wharton School (1992-2001).
- Christopher Earley (Ph.D. University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign). Earley is dean, National University of Singapore Business School. He was formerly the chair and professor of organization behavior at the London Business School (2002-05).
- Yash P. Gupta (Ph.D. University of Bradford). Gupta is a professor of operations management at the University of Southern California. He was Dean at USC from 2004 to 2006. He also was dean at the University of Washington (1999-2004) and dean at the University of Colorado (1992-99).
- Hildy Teegan (Ph.D. University of Texas at Austin). Teegan is a professor of international business and international affairs at George Washington University and director of the Center for International Business Education and Research.
