New ergonomics program aims to reduce work-related disorders on campus

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at the University of South Carolina has recently developed a new ergonomics program, with the aim of reducing the risk of work related musculoskeletal disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, among employees.

EHS offers training and worksite evaluations to help individuals and departments identify risk factors, so that the hazards may be reduced or eliminated.

For more information, go the the EHS ergonomics website at ehs.sc.edu/Ergonomics/Ergonomics.htm.
