faculty member, recently received the Freudenstein/General Motors Young Investigators Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers International for his research paper entitled, "Novel Design of a Robotic Gripper Allowing for In-hand Manipulation."
Only one such award is given biennially with an ASME certificate and a cash prize of $1,000.
Vogelwede's paper was chosen from 1,223 papers presented at a recent ASME conference.
